THE ISSUES
Friends, there’s so much at stake in 2023 and so much work to be done. But how we do that work is just as important as what we do.
You see, I’m a firm believer that we will win this race and set Virginia on a positive path because we’re going to do it in a positive way together. Together, we will advocate for renovated schools so our children can learn without water dripping on their heads. We will revitalize our counties through economic growth with community-minded businesses so our main streets match our main values. We will demand a living wage for all our neighbors so no one has to live hand to mouth anymore.
Together, we will go to Richmond and show them the power of Southside Virginia, to care for our neighbors and to build resilient communities. How do I know we’ll accomplish all this? Because I know that we will do it together.
Together, we will demand adequate funding to upgrade our schools, pay our teachers, and address unfunded mandates.
Together, we will develop accessible programs for citizens at all income levels to access high-speed, broadband internet.
Together, we will celebrate the police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, doctors, and nurses who make our communities safer, happier, and healthier.
Together, we will resist the oppression LGBTQ+ Virginians experience through strengthened anti-discrimination laws.
Together, we will pursue common-sense measures to promote responsible gun ownership and curb gun violence.
Together, we will ensure that reproductive healthcare decisions remain between people, their doctors, and their support systems.
